“Autumn Redwing”

I always feel an element of reflection when our Swallows and House Martins head off to sunnier climes in Autumn. It marks the end of Summer and there is the slightest chill in the evenings to remind us of a new season is upon us! But also at this time of the year, we can look forward to the distinct stripes above their eyes, they are rather partial to our woodlands and hedgerows where they can feast on berries, so this collage is a perfect way to welcome this beautiful bird and celebrate the orange and golden leaves in our countryside!
