Michael Taylor
Michael’s domestic stoneware ceramics bridge the gap between functionality and beauty, his hand thrown bowls are decorated in glazes that best suit the form and function of the piece. Michael’s asymmetric forms are thrown, turned and altered before being glazed with a white glaze that allows vibrant pops of orange, turquoise and blues to be highlighted, accentuating the striking individuality of each piece.
Michael studied ceramics at Bath Academy of Art, Corsham.
Michael first began selling his work at David Mellor Design in Chelsea, London and Hathersage, Sheffield in 2009. His work proved so popular that in 2014 he collaborated with David Mellor Design to develop a comprehensive range of his unique handmade tableware.
