Susie Garner
Whilst studying for a BA (Hons) degree in Silversmithing and Metalwork at Camberwell College of Art, I realised that much of my inspiration was drawn from my love of nature and the intricate patterns found within it.
For a number of years, I have been creating a collection of stemmed flowers in recycled sterling silver, focusing on capturing and highlighting each flower’s unique and delicate details. This dedication to botanical forms led to my becoming a member of The Society of Botanical Artists.
In 2023, I graduated from the London Metropolitan University with an MA in Silversmithing and Jewellery. This degree enabled me to combine my appreciation of the decorative arts with my fascination for the miniature world of floral forms and patterns. My work now focuses on creating wearable pieces of jewellery that can also be displayed as decorative ornaments when not being worn. This dual purpose introduces an element of intrigue and playfulness that complements the precision and elegance of my botanical designs.
