My favourite childhood book 'The Secret Garden ' by Frances Hodgson Burnett has stayed with me over time. The flowers and garden being metaphors for healing, resilience and wonder.

These days, I feel the passage of time is 'wrapped up' in the flowers I paint.

Each bloom is a vessel of memory. Stories are carried in their fragrance. From small posies to lavish bouquets, cherished memories of people, places, times and friendships, are evoked by their fleeting beauty.

I aim to capture the feelings of joy and hope that colour and flowers bring me, to share with others.
