I Trish Buckingham is an award winning impressionist, semi abstract artist living in rural Mid-Devon.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful countryside, having two dramatic coastlines within easy reach, together with the ever changing palette of Exmoor, which is always inspiring whatever the weather.”

Most of her previous work has been coastal, capturing the essence, magnitude, motion of the sea and surrounding flora. More recently she has been exploring colour and form resulting in loose floral representations.

“My painting process is one of experiment and discovery, using acrylics, inks, charcoal and pastels. I like to paint instinctively and by using many different tools to create expressive marks and texture, the journey is unpredictable and exciting.”
